I was first taken aback by the smokehouse-style wood-fired pit, which is essential for a delicious and smoky bbq. The brisket was flavorful and juicy and had a nice texture to it. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and the house-made sauces added an extra layer of flavor.

The sides didn't disappoint either - the cheesy grits were creamy and flavorful, while the coleslaw was crunchy yet refreshing. And last but not least, the potato salad was creamy, flavorful and perfectly seasoned.

To top it off, the outdoor seating area was perfect for enjoying my meal in a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by good company.

**Simply put, Moreno Barbecue is the best bbq I've had in South Austin!

I had the opportunity to sample some of the slow-smoked brisket this past week, and it was truly remarkable. The texture was just right and I could tell that it was cooked low and slow for a long time. Not only was the meat tender and succulent, but it was also full of smoky flavor.

The sides are also top notch. The creamy coleslaw was very crunchy and well seasoned, while the refried beans were great in taste and texture. My favorite side though was definitely their grilled corn on the cob which came slathered in butter and topped with Cotija cheese!
