Having been to Hoover's a few times, I can confidently say that their catfish is the best fried catfish in Austin. The coating on the fish is always crispy and flavorful. The meat is firm and has a tenderness to it which makes each bite delicious.

What I especially appreciate about Hoover's Cooking is that they don't skimp on any of the accompaniments. Their coleslaw and hush puppies are equally as good as the catfish itself.

Speaking of service, what stands out most at Hoover's is their hospitality. Whenever we dine there, our server makes sure that one extra detail isn't forgotten - from getting extra tartar sauce after I made a comment that it should be served with the meal to suggesting sides like collards or macaroni & cheese that go great with the catfish. Every time we've gone, we've felt welcomed and appreciated by our server and other staff members.

I've had my fair share of fried catfish across the city and nothing compares to the deliciousness of Turf N' Surf Po Boy. The seafood here is fresh and perfectly cooked, providing an overall great taste.

Their Catfish Platter is the bomb! The catfish is lightly battered, then fried to golden perfection. The flavor is delightful and the texture is spot on. It's served with delicious jalapeno hushpuppies and french fries.

The staff at Hook & Reel also go out of their way to make sure your experience is enjoyable. They take the time to make sure your meal turns out just right and serve it up with a smile.

Overall, I'd say that Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar serves some of the best fried catfish in Austin ! Their Catfish Platter is something not to be missed and their excellent service only adds to the already delightful experience. Highly recommend!

I was so excited to see that Colleen's Kitchen had the best fried catfish in Austin. The fish was cooked perfectly; lightly battered and served with a side of tartar sauce for dipping. It was so delicious, I knew I had to go back again! The other menu items are also great - the french fries were thick-cut, golden brown and tasted like home-made.

The service at Colleen's Kitchen is also outstanding; everyone there is friendly and helpful. They make sure your order comes out just right and they're more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
