The atmosphere and decor of Comedor immediately impressed me with its modern yet cozy interior. I'm a fan of traditional Mexican flavors and it was reassuring to see such an emphasis on fresh ingredients and well-crafted margaritas.

The food is what really stands out at Comedor. The menu is full of classic tex mex dishes like Enchiladas, Tacos, Fajitas, and Quesadillas. What makes these dishes extra special is the attention to detail in the preparation and presentation. The flavors are a perfect balance between traditional Mexican spices and new age ingredients that give each dish its own unique twist.

Another standout feature at Comedor are their margaritas! These handcrafted drinks are made with fresh citrus fruits, agave nectar, and small batch tequila for an unbeatable flavor profile.

The tacos are always flavorful and never dry. They have a great selection of fillings, such as carnitas, chorizo, barbacoa and even vegan options. The tacos also come with a generous portion of freshly chopped cilantro and onions that really add to the flavor.

The burritos are bigger than your average burrito, but not too huge that you can't finish them in one sitting. I usually opt for the Fiesta Mixta with steak and pork which comes with cheese, salsa verde and avocado-cilantro crema - it's delicious!

I'm also a big fan of their breakfast tortas - my favorite is the Migas Torta with homemade guacamole, refried black beans, scrambled eggs and queso Cotija. It's definitely one of the best tex mex options in Downtown Austin!
