It has the perfect combination of rolling hills and trails, dotted with brilliant yellow and blue wildflowers. I especially love how the paths intertwine through the Spanish oak trees and cedar elms - it's just so peaceful!

The bluebonnets are definitely a standout feature of this greenbelt. I've found them in many places, but none compare to what you can find at West Bouldin Creek Greenbelt. The best time to see them is during the spring, when they are in full bloom.

In addition to the stunning bluebonnets, there is plenty to admire at this greenbelt. From birds soaring above to turtles leisurely swimming in their ponds below, there is no shortage of wildlife here. Plus, the park offers plenty of fun activities such as fishing or kayaking on Lady Bird Lake.

I was delighted by the sheer number and vibrant beauty of the bluebonnets. The abundance of wildflowers overflowing in this area is second to none. From taking pictures of the brilliant purple, white, yellow & pink blossoms to picking flowers for a bouquet; Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area provided enough activities to keep me busy all day.

The terrain was also pleasantly diverse. I was able to explore wooded areas, grasslands and even hike along the Colorado River!
